Writer, reader, editor, development sector communications professional, occasional couch potato, and social entrepreneur.
You might have read some of my work or the work I’ve solicited. In 2011, I graduated with distinction with an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University’s competitive writing program. The degree cemented the commitment to craft that already existed; in 2005, I helmed a writers’ collective and magazine for writers from the South Asian diaspora, called ‘Desi Writers Lounge’. In 2010, I founded ‘The Missing Slate’, an international art and literary magazine that has published work from over 80 countries and featured writing from over 40 languages, including work from Jhumpa Lahiri, Ilya Kaminski, Kamila Shamsie, Mohsin Hamid, Muhammad Umar Memon, Jeet Thayil, Rahul Soni, Anuradha Roy, among others.
I currently work in the international development sector as a communications specialist.
